The Nazi regime was arguably the most inhumane and bloody in history. Behind their horrific plans for the conquest of Europe, the "Final Solution," and a 1000-year Reich, were some shocking beliefs. While we are aware of their advocacy of Aryan superiority, militarism, and fanatical devotion to the Fuhrer, there were a bizarre assortment of surreal and implausible arguments given to justify Nazi actions and imbue the German people with a sense of destiny and superiority. This talk explores the efforts by Hitler, Goebbels, and Himmler to use pseudo-science, conspiracy, and the occult to achieve their evil ends.
