Description

Virtual Event
Locked away in a crate for several decades until its recent public unveiling, a grave marker in Memphis revealed a little-known fact about one of America’s most iconic figures of the 20th century.

Elvis Presley, the King of Rock & Roll, had Jewish roots.

In this highly virtual visual presentation, travel writer Dan Fellner will take you to Elvis’ birthplace in Mississippi and to the Graceland mansion in Memphis, to uncover the secrets of Elvis’ surprising connection to Judaism.

Mark the 45th anniversary of Elvis’ death with this fascinating glimpse into his life and the multiculturalism that inspired his music.

Dan Fellner is an experienced travel writer and public speaker who has visited over 120 countries and had more than 100 articles published in newspapers and magazines around the world. His work has appeared in such publications as USA Today, the Jerusalem Post, the Washington Post and Hadassah Magazine. Dan is an eight-time Fulbright fellow and has taught journalism and communications at ten overseas universities in Eastern Europe and Southeast Asia.

Presented in Partnership with: Cultural Council for Palm Beach County, Tourist Development Council and Palm Beach County
