About the Blogger:

Lauren Margolin, also known as The Good Book Fairy, is well-known for her book reviews, book suggestions, and her nation-wide speaking engagements where she has helped energize book clubs, moderated book discussions, and more.

Lauren is a Maryland native, graduated Indiana University in 1989, and for a few exciting years lived and worked in the Windy City. Later, she and her husband moved to the northern suburbs of Chicago, where they planted their roots. Lauren writes a blog at GoodBookFairy.com and it’s there that she stores all her book reviews, book suggestions, favorite books, author and book updates, and everything else! She has received rave reviews from readers, authors, and libraries across the country. Her talks range from creating careers through books and writing, to girls nights, to live chats with authors.

She says it perfectly on her blog: “I enjoy sharing the books I love with others. The idea for this blog came after I realized that a week doesn’t go by without someone calling me for a book suggestion. Whether it’s what to buy for their father, their mother, their niece or nephew, or whomever, they call me. Before vacations I get a litany of calls with these types of requests; ‘I only want beach books,’ ‘I only want books that won’t make me cry,’ or ‘I want a book that my husband and I can both read.’ And almost always, I have a suggestion for them; one I know they’ll love. It’s kind of like I’m a book whisperer; thus, I became the “Good Book Fairy.”
